P Day #3!

Hola todas los personas!!!!!!!!

Well this week flew by to me, hopefully it did to you guys also!! I love you all!!

   Saturday-Sunday

This day was probably the day I got my competitive fire back! I played volleyball against the juco kid. It got pretty competitive, but have no fear my team came through with a victory. He then challenged us to a basketball game and once again we shut him down. It was really fun and made me miss my AAU and high school teams. Sunday was good, just meetings all day! For sacrament, we have to prepare a 5 min talk each time and the president will pick 4 of us like 30 seconds after we partake of the sacrament. It’s so nerve racking!!! hahah I hate it!! I haven’t been called on, but I’m feeling not so confident this week!!

   Monday-Wednesday

Well, I had my first dream in Spanish and people say when you dream in Spanish you are fluent!! haha that is definitely a myth but hey my Spanish is coming along!! My companion said he could hear me going off in Spanish, which is actually pretty funny. I have been reading some specific chapters and its been helping me a lot. It’s 2 Nephi9:39. It’s literally the smile verse!

It’s such a good thing to think about. I made the whole class memorize it, and even the teacher, which is awesome! Also, another good chapter is Alma 26, it talks about being patient and enduring your trials. It’s so good an​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​d has really helped me. One of my roommates left because he had to rehab for 12 weeks back home so I sent him with this chapter to read. 

On Wednesday, I got gum on my pants, I don’t know how but man I was so mad. I didn’t have my mom to clean it for me haha but don’t worry I’m getting it down with doing laundry and surviving without my mom. So yes, it is possible hahah!! 

Lastly, I want to leave you guys with this! Ether 12: be humble and the Lord will bless us! I have been humbled so much already and I can’t imagine getting out into the field and how hard it is going to be but how amazing it’s going to be also!! I talked to a worker at dinner and he told me about his life. How he was a recent convert and how much of a blessing it was to have missionaries in his home. I talked to him about why I wanted to serve and how I know I’m going to Uruguay for a reason.  It was such an amazing talk and you could tell the spirit was there!! The Spanish is getting better! I get to go to the temple today so I’m excited to share that experience with you guys next week!! I love you all!!!!

P Day #2!

7/13/17-/7/21/17

Hola everyone!!!

    

Ok this email will be a lot better! I am kinda getting into the swing of things!! 

So to start we went to the mexico city temple!! Everything was in spanish but it was so good!! The spirit that was there was amazing. When I got to the celestial room the power of the spirit was indescribable. it filled the entire room. I was in there just praying for the longest time and i felt such peace.. it was amazing!! I hope all you guys can go as much as possible. After that we went back to the prison (the MTC) lol, with armed guards and a barbed wire fence hahah. 

 Friday- Saturday 

     We just did the same old thing.. 15 hour days with classes ahahha and studying the language over and over again. Every single day it rains here!! Everyday... There’s a fire cracker that goes off every morning to signal a fiesta that weekend hahaha and there are gun shots every night so its definitely not Provo!! The teaching is getting better! I was finally able to communicate and talk and understand spanish Wahooooooo!!!!!!!! Ok now time for some gym time! this is the best time of the day besides getting mail and letters! I play mostly volleyball so the games get pretty dang competitive! First one to 7 wins. It actually gets so intense! We played and this guy is like going to byu and set me perfectly i rocketed at this kid in my house and it hit him in the chest and down he went lol the very next play i smashed it again and hit another kid in the shoulder and it hit the exact same kid in the face it was so funny!!!!  He doesn’t like me any more so oh well! Then me being all cocky I tried to hit it again hard and my dog tag hit my eye lol they take injuries way serious so I had to wear an eye patch don’t judge lol! but im all good no worries lol. This kid wants to challenge me to one on one-he’s a juco kid hahah so ill let you guys know what happens next week with that! 

        

Sunday was good we just had meetings the whole day. Priesthood was so good!! the best part was they catered chick fil a!!!!!!! ahhh so freaking good hahah im just playin.. it was a solid slab of chicken lol! but they also served chicken bakes that day! it was so good...im so over rice and beans!!

Monday-Wednesday

    We taught our investigator who was the teacher today and he was in a classroom and we decided to walk in! We didn’t know it was like a legit thing so he started yelling at us saying what are we doing in his house it was so funny!! oops so note to self once the teacher leaves the classroom he’s in character lol!! Okay for the story.. I’m teaching our investigator/teacher and I don’t know anything.. all the sudden I asked him if I could start with a prayer. I prayed for the spirit then all the sudden I was able to understand him and talk. I had the best lesson ever. I was able to invite him to church bare my testimony about the gospel and it was so amazing! I could speak spanish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then when I closed and asked him about his life and told him to pray and read the book of Mormon he said he would!!!! It was so amazing! We ended the lesson and I had no idea what I said or what he was saying again it was the GIFT OF TONGUES! Testimony is growing so much!!

umm the past couple days apparently everyone knows of me and that im going to byu its pretty funny. The Latinos will ask for autographs it’s hilarious!! We get to teach little kids next week which im stoked for!!!!!! ahh im so excited for that! but it’s been really good! My companion is so hairy! He shaves twice a day lol he’s way good at spanish tho!!!

1st P Day!!

Week 1 7/4/17-7/13/17

Mi Amigos y familia!!

Well let me tell you nothing can prepare you for what has been placed before me.  The mission is so hard. It's crazy its already been a week.

So Tuesday was so hard!! I was having the hardest time. I  let on this bed that felt like concrete with a sheet over it lol! I'm starting to get used to waking up at 6:30 every morning! Sorry if my typing is awful its so hard to type on a spanish keyboard! hahaha but tuesday was hard everyone was ready to go and speaking spanish like I'm suppose to know what they are all saying!  I got my companion and he is the hairiest dude alive!  He loves pokemon and loves frisbee so I know everything about it now and its only been a week!

Wednesday was the hardest day haha it feel like a year!1 We started learning spanish and I had no idea what anyone was saying!  The teachers speak only spanish and it sucks haha don't really know what they are saying.  Everyone here has about 2 to 3 years under their belt but I know I'm here for a reason and I can do hard things!

Thursday was where the fun started happening we got gym time!! So freaking excited.  We played ball and i was dunking it so hard it felt so good!! Everyone here nows of me! its crazy the latinos want my autograph so thats pretty cool!!

The next couple of days have been ok! We had the best sacament meeting it was so awesome! Talked about faith and not stopping until you have been given it your all! I know I have a lot of misspelled words but you have to bare with me with this spanish keyboard haha!

We have movie night every night where this kid recites movies to us haha its so funny but we pretend to watch movies! Church jokes are beginning to become funny and thats when you know its been too long.  I go to the temple today so we will see how that goes!

ok we played football and we aren't allowed to and so when the teacher would come out we would pretend to play freeze tag haha so funny! The food are is rice and beans and they are so nasty!! haha its so bad!! the people here are alright but hey I'm learning! I did laundry and our service project was folding clothes haha so funny!! I'm going to be the best dad if you now what I mean!! We also taught our investigator I asked her to be baptized and daughter her how to pray! All in spanish it was so cool!! I recited and memorized the baptismal invitation. Its good hahaha a lot of spanish daily. I've had so many testimony building things already and its crazy how real the spirit is. Its so amazing!! The spirit is so strong and my testimony has grown so much!! I'm getting better, its hard but you ave to push through and give it your best!! make people proud!!
