Dios me ama!
Martes - Miercoles
Well, God loves me!! I am staying in Melo! It was such a crazy day. We did an intercambio with Elder Tolman. He had a heart to heart with me about the mission. It was such a good talk. I was just glad I could help him. On Wednesday, we helped all the Elders and Hermanas leave for changes/transfers. We were up at 1:30 AM! It was insane haha! We literally hit the biggest storm ever. It was a complete downpour and of course we didn’t have an umbrella haha, but we were sure dancing in the rain! We taught a familia and we were able to kneel and pray with them. It was a good day.
Jueves - Viernes
Thursday, we worked with Elder Lloyd. We then went and got his comp from the bus station. Gotta love the mish! Friday, we had Consejo (Jedi Training) and learned more about faith and how to baptize every week. After, we choose our goal of the month, but President let us choose it. I was able to speak and present in front of everyone. After everything, Consejo chose my goal. We are shooting for 70 this month! We then took a bus home. We woke up at 1:00 AM to catch the bus, and took another bus at 5:30 PM, which means we got home at 11:00 PM lol, Long Day!
Sábado – Domingo
We got everything ready for the baptism of Maria Luna. We emptied out the water from the font with buckets for over two hours. We finished and realized that our church doesn’t have gas to heat the water. So, we changed the baptism to the other church. We got that one ready and Maria never showed up. I was destroyed! I had a feeling too. Never neglect/delay a feeling, Act upon it! Sunday was a cool day as I was able to see William again.
Remember... Cristo le ama a Todos! Siga tu camino y él va a caminar paso con nosotros.

Week 72 in Uruguay: Navidad y año Nuevo
Navidad y año Nuevo
Wednesday - Thursday
Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We have had so many dinners! We had a big old lamb for dinner, which there is nothing better! I worked with (“Brucie”), Elder Lloyd and literally had so much fun. We had an activity where we played soccer. It was super fun! We had so many people there. It was awesome. That night, I got a pain in my chest. It has been hurting so bad. I haven’t been able to eat, but we are hanging in there!
Friday - Saturday
Friday was the coolest day in my mish haha! We put a fecha and taught Aldrine who is 9 years old. He is so mature for 9 years old. Then we got invited by Angel to play ball. I got to play REAL BASKETBALL! It was legit! We played 3 on 3. It was with a real RIM! I was in heaven! I shot pretty well and my team ended up winning it. Saturday, we had a multi ward activity. It was alright.
Sunday
Miracle happened! We woke up and a storm hit! We were freaking out because no one was going to go to church. I grabbed everyone in the house and we knelt down to say the prayer. We all said “Faith can move mountains”. So I said the prayer to have the storm stop. It was raining like crazy! When we ended the prayer the storm stopped. No joke! The sun came out and without a doubt our prayer was answered! It was such an amazing day!

Week 71 in Uruguay: "Feliz Navidad"
Feliz Navidad
Tuesday - Sunday
This week was one to remember! We were able to baptize Luis and I was able to help Elder Borquez do his first baptism in the mission. Having him doing the ordenanza was so special. The spirit was so strong! Like always, Satan tries to ruin the day with having the drain catch on fire but being able to empty and clean the font with buckets and then having someone enter into a covenant with God was all worth it! The Lord really is blessing us here in Melo! We are on the verge of having everyone in Melo baptize in the month of December which is so unique. For the month of Enero, we will have a lot of people making covenants with our Heavenly Father. We had 7 people come to church who all should and will be baptized in this next coming change.
My studies are absolutely amazing. I am studying the Atonement and I wish I could explain all my feelings and be able to describe how I feel about the Atonement but all I know is I have a strong testimony of it. It really is like a goal. It’s like glasses. I read a story how this lady was swimming a long distance and she gave up with only a half a mile left. Everyone asked her why she gave up and she said it was because of the clouds and she couldn’t see, not because it was too hard. The next race she swam the English channel and it was again a cloudy day. She was about to reach her hand out and give up when her dad said look up and she saw the finish line and swam harder and faster than before. This is like the Atonement. I feel like without it, it’s like a cloud. It’s something that covers our eyes and blocks our vision and hope to reach the end. With the atonement, we regain motivation and hope, and we are able to swim faster and harder than before to reach our eternal goal of returning back to him. The atonement is everything and we are able to become like God if we just follow the steps of the repentance process.
Merry Christmas

Week 70 in Uruguay: "Los Milagros en la Lluvia"
Los Milagros en la Lluvia
Martes - Miercoles
Was insane! We were in a huge storm! It was raining like crazy! We finally began teaching this guy named Marcelo. We began teaching him and it started to rain even harder. We read a scripture and as soon as I said repent ye, a huge lightning bolt hit the light pole in front of us! It was insane! It shook everything and it was so bright. Now we are a little nervous to call people to repent, but the charla was awesome. We were led by the Spirit the whole night and we found 9 people. Wednesday it rained as well. It hit about 8:00pm so we still had an hour left. It was super windy and we were soaked! We got yelled at, at the last door. We said a prayer and touched the next house. A Peruvian dude walks out, looks at us and says, come in. It was a miracle! The charla was so spiritual. It was amazing!
Jueves – Viernes
We had our interviews with President. A funny story was our President showed up over an hour late (long story). We taught Angel again. He loves dogs so you already know we mesh well together and we are coordinating a day to go do a basketball clinic with the kids. Friday, I got to work with the man, the myth, the legend, Elder Lloyd! I freaking love this kid. We definitely have too much fun! Our contacts are the best because it’s more natural. I love that kid! That night with everyone we had rap battles.
Sabado – Domingo
Sabado we taught this familia and they are so cool. We taught them L1 and I got to give the 1st Vision. The spirit was so strong! That night we sang songs in the park. It was for “Light the World” There were so many people. After we bought ice cream and of course Elder Lloyd buys 3 scoops, such a Capo! Sunday was so hot, but we had a good day.
Remember the spirit of Christmas is gratitude! Be giving and become more like Christ. “Give as He Gave”
