Week 53 in Uruguay: "Lucia's Life Changed"

8/13/18-8/20/18

“Lucia’s life changed”

Tuesday - Wednesday
First of all let’s just say what a week! A week full of miracles! Nothing is better than changing someone’s day and seeing them smile. Tuesday, we had a district meeting, which went really well. Then we went and taught a couple of people. One guy we taught asked us so many questions, it was the best, because at the end he goes well, “I am Mormon then”, haha super funny! Wednesday, we had the best pizza ever! It had flavor! It was so good. Made me pretty trunky haha just playing. We had divisions with the zone leaders and it went really well! Every single day we have to look at the little miracles God gives us. We just have to try to be a little better every day and God will bless us. That night my companion and I froze as we slept on the floor haha.

Thursday - Friday
Thursday we taught the daughter of Karina. It is crazy how people can tell the difference in someone. When we keep the commandments we have a light! La Luz De Cristo! Karina’s daughter wants a piece of that light. Friday was the day of service. We cut trees, chopped wood for fire for a membro, painted, and cleaned out a house. I think we found some undiscovered animals lol. We also taught Lucia to get her ready for her baptism.

Saturday - Sunday
We got up and went to the church. We played volleyball, basketball and soccer. Let’s just say playing Latinos in soccer is one of the most embarrassing things to do. lol I’m pretty sure I looked like I have never seen a ball before haha. But it was fun! I did score once lol! We baptized Lucia! I had the opportunity to baptize her. Her whole family came and they want to be taught. It was probably the most spiritual baptism in my mission. I have never felt such peace, if you want to know more ask Mama Knell. Sunday, I got asked to give a talk 2 minutes before sacrament. I was super nervous but after I prayed and took the sacrament, I felt a calmness. The spirit was so strong. It was like I had everything planned before, and God put the words that needed to be said in me. God will bless us if we are willing to humble ourselves.
