Week 59 in Uruguay: "20 Añitos! Milagritos"

9/24/18-10/1/18

20 Añitos!  Milagritos

Martes- Miércoles
So on Tuesday, we did an intercambio. I went with someone named Elder Vaca, haha which means “Elder Cow”, super funny. We had a good day as we passed by a lot of people. Wednesday was the best day ever! It was my Birthday! I’m 20! Like what, I feel like I should just be going into high school. It was a great day! The hermanas made brownies, my comp made me a cake and President Eddy took us out to eat. We went to a way good restaurant. Super good! Later that night, we passed by investigators that wished me a Happy Birthday. We were playing with their kids. I love kids here haha. We also taught a 19 year old who is married to a 46 year old! Like dang haha.

Jueves - Viernes
Thursday, we ate with the Bishop and it was super good, they cooked Asado for us! So so much meat. It was crazy. His wife kept encouraging us to eat more. After, they gave me a cake with my name on it. I love the Bishop! Little things mean the most. Well, we taught a familia and I taught them about baptism and did a magic trick. They were all amazed haha, it was so funny! It was the best. They were going crazy.  After we passed by this lady and it was amazing, I haven’t felt the Spirit that strong. I started saying things that I have never said before. She told me that she has been praying for answers and has been crying for a while.  She said, “I read her eyes,” it was amazing!  It was exactly what she needed to hear. The Spirit is pretty amazing!  Friday, we went out and worked because the weather finally cleared up. The weather has been super bad this week. We played a little futbol with the kids, but I couldn’t because I hurt my back so I grabbed my basketball and decided to do a few tricks for the kids.  I spun the ball on my finger and all the kids got in a giant circle around me and counted to 100. I showed them some dribbling drills and they thought it was all pretty dope.

Sábado- Domingo
Saturday was one of the worst storms here. We had a ”Red Alert“ that said we couldn’t leave. Well, one of the hermanas had a panic attack so we left in the storm to give her a blessing. I kid you not the streets were covered! The water was up to my knees!! One thing I realized was how important is the Priesthood. We walked 20 minutes in a lightning storm to give a blessing. The look on the hermanas face told it all. I am beyond lucky to hold this priesthood! This is why missionary work is so important. We need more worthy holders to continue ministering! The feeling I had while giving that blessing made it all worth it. After we walked out, a house was on fire from a lightning bolt. Oh my gosh, it was a crazy day. I’ve never seen so many close lightning bolts! My comp kept saying “don’t be afraid we are serving the Lord”, what a day!  Sunday, we talked to this man and the spirit was so strong! I felt the Lord really telling me the things I needed to say. Read DyC 45:62.  Great things are yet to come, just be patient.
