Week 66 in Uruguay: "William Becomes a Missionary"

11/12/18-11/19/18

"William Becomes a Missionary”

Tuesday - Wednesday
I said goodbye to my comp on Tuesday as we had Elder Gong come see us. The conference was amazing and super spiritual and I received a lot of answers. After the conference, we headed back home and I worked with the Elders from Colòn, Elder Ibarra y Elder Lloyd (Bruce). We worked all morning then in the afternoon I worked with William. William is a Capo!! He became a Corta Plazo haha and now works with me in the afternoon. We found a lot of amazing people. The Spirit was so strong hearing him testify of our Savior Jesus Christ. William then showed me where he lives. Oh my goodness, it's tiny! It's not even the size of a bathroom. It's big enough to put a twin bed in there and that's it. He showers with a bucket and he is one of the happiest people. So what does that tell us about needing things to be happy? We only need the gospel to be happy. Wednesday we were walking and I felt like we needed to talk to someone and her name was Mary Soiza. She wanted nothing to do with us. She told us other missionaries already tried to teach her. Well, I bore my testimony and said a prayer in my heart and she changed. She began to cry and invited us over. Miracles are everywhere!!

Thursday - Friday
Well, I am exhausted! Being a one-man zone leader is fun, but a lot of work. Especially since a Hermana went home this week. Friday, we contacted a lot of people and one lady that I really felt we needed to go talk to was really struggling. She told us her daughter died a month ago. It killed me. I was able to bear my testimony about Harmoni Hamby and the spirit was so strong. I could feel the help and love of the Lord. Later, I started a basketball night. We played 3 v 3 and it is awesome!

Saturday - Sunday
It rained all day Saturday! I died laughing with Elder Lloyd. He contacted people in the funniest way. I was literally crying laughing! When it rains there are miracles! We found a lady that is so prepared. Sunday was Stake Conference and President Eddy spoke. There was about 200 people that showed up. William and I had an amazing day. We put 2 fechas for people to be baptized. William has such a strong testimony. It's amazing! Well, remember to have an eye of faith (Ether 12). With faith everything is possible! Tell someone why you are grateful! Happy Turkey Day!!
