A British hospital & bed rest
Monday-Tuesday
We did a service at 7:00 in the morning for a member by moving a fridge for him. Then we had Elders from Las Pierdras come up to visit. We made the best lunch, ribs and chicken fried rice! After, we had a nerf war lol! After P day ended, we then taught Fatima and her 30 year old son, Winston. He made us dinner and it was so good! He told us he doesn’t like the word mormones/Mormons and prefers priests/pastors instead. We were laughing pretty hard. He doesn’t like my companion lol. What’s not to like?;) hahaha! He always jokes around with me, he is a good dude. Well today, I decided to try and be more like Christ. I went out and proselyted in Jesus sandals lol! My toes are wrecked. I can’t put on shoes!
Tuesday, we had divisions with the zone leaders. I got my haircut then we headed there. I went with Elder Pacori from Peru. We taught this guy and then gave him a blessing. He must have felt better or the spirit or something because he decided to sing for us! Oh my gosh!! I died! He started off by saying, “this is a song for every single cat” lol! Holy cow, I couldn’t stop laughing and he was dead serious! Well, the zone leaders told me I needed to go to the hospital as soon as possible for my toes. It was so infected! I have never seen anything like that except on TV! But I couldn’t go until Thursday because I promised the hermanas we would help with a service activity for them!
Wednesday-Thursday
Wednesday we had our district meeting. Well, we did a service project by cutting this thick field of grass with a shovel! Oh my gosh! It was so tiring! My back was wrecked! My hands are destroyed again, but I do have a quite the tan line on my feet from my sandals haha! We got some water at the house and there was this homeless dog. We fed it and it loved me! Everyone tried to get it to lick my toe haha. Apparently, it’s good for an infection. Well, I could barely walk today! Its crazy how bad it hurts! I went to the British hospital here. I waited for forever haha! I was so nervous! The doctor saw my foot and goes it might be better to just cut that baby off! Well, he gave me like 15 shots and oh baby did they hurt! He cut out my nail, the thing was huge!! He told me that I can’t walk for a couple of days because he cut out the dead skin. Yeah not a fun day! I have to go back next week for my other foot! Pray for me!
Friday-Saturday
Friday we did nothing! I couldn’t walk so that was fun! I did make a way good t-bone. It reminded me of Madagascar! Alex the lion haha! Our President of our “rama” branch came over to check on me and gave me some medicine. I love him! He went through all my stuff lol! He tried all my candy! Saturday we went and ate with a member! After we cleaned his car lol! My name is only norte Americano or gringo to him nothing else! We were there for forever! Well, Saturday I was super sick as well, not the best week! Haha!
Sunday
We had 6 people/investigators in church!! So cool! One bore his testimony! Andrea came also! Ahh, it was a day of miracles! Well I explained 1,000 times about my toe haha! Let’s just say I got a lot of sympathy ;) Well, I drank a ton of chocolate milk with Maza! We must have been milk drunk because Elder Maza danced a little and I have never laughed so hard! Sunday, I started to learn how to do the rubix cube! It’s actually a really good time killer! I still can’t walk. My foot is all bruised. It’s really tough but I want to challenge all of you to bare your testimonies more. Yes, it could/can be scary, but I promise your words could be what someone needs to hear. Lastly, I want to leave with you that we should all be writing down the miracles that happen every day to always remember the Lords hands in our lives! He is always there guiding us and if we can just look past the superficial stuff we can see the many blessings we receive. Always remember this that when we want success we have to first “desire then act!” Acting is one of the things we miss out on! Always look to act! Act on the promptings of the spirit, act on your goals! Love you all! If you ever need anything I’m always here to help!
